Three women, aged 23, 40, and 45, along with three men aged 31, 55, and 60, all residents of Kettering were taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder. A 34-year-old man from Corby was also arrested. All of these suspects have since been released on bail.
Additionally, a 34-year-old man from Kettering remains in police custody, having been arrested on suspicion of murder. Investigators have conducted house-to-house inquiries and reviewed CCTV footage in the surrounding area as part of their ongoing investigation.

A post-mortem examination was scheduled to take place today at Leicester Royal Infirmary to determine the exact cause of death.
Detective Inspector Torie Harrison, leading the investigation, said:
“The victim suffered severe injuries between midnight and 4am last Wednesday. Despite the efforts of medical staff, these injuries proved fatal. The investigation has now been upgraded to a murder inquiry, and we are appealing to the public for assistance in gathering evidence.”
She added:
“We understand this news is shocking, and we have increased police presence in the area, including high-visibility patrols. This remains a fast-moving investigation, and we will provide further updates as more information becomes available.”
