Charity Celebrates Biggest Ever London Marathon Team for 2026 Event

National social care charity Community Integrated Care has announced its largest-ever official team of runners for the TCS London Marathon, marking a major milestone for the organisation.

In a year when more than 1.2 million people applied for a place in one of the world’s most iconic races, the charity has secured 12 coveted Gold Bond places annually for the next four years.

The achievement means colleagues, ambassadors, partners and supporters will represent the charity on 26 April 2026, raising vital funds and awareness to support people with disabilities across the UK.

12 Runners to Take on 26.2 Miles

The 2026 team will include:

  • Four Community Integrated Care colleagues
  • Official charity ambassador and Rugby League legend Jamie Jones-Buchanan MBE
  • Representatives from partner organisations including the Lawn Tennis Association
  • Representatives from the Rugby Football League
  • Dedicated charity supporters

Together, they will take on the full 26.2-mile marathon route through the streets of London.

Supporting Life-Changing Programmes

Funds raised by the team will help power programmes that tackle social, financial and health inequalities faced by people with disabilities.

The charity says the marathon effort reflects its wider mission of enabling people with support needs to live the best lives possible through inclusion, opportunity and collaboration.

‘More Than a Race’

Jim Kane, Chief Executive Officer of Community Integrated Care, said the milestone represents far more than participation in a major sporting event. “We’re incredibly proud and grateful to the team taking on the London Marathon for Community Integrated Care this year. This represents so much more than a race – it’s a celebration of the passion, dedication and partnership that drives our charity forward every day.”

He added: “The funds raised will directly support programmes that change lives, promote inclusion and create new opportunities for people with support needs across the UK. I’m inspired by each of our runners – their participation symbolises a powerful commitment to collaboration, inclusion and changing lives through shared purpose. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way.”
