Goddard appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in October accused of seven counts of criminal damage. Prosecutors have since added six further charges of attempting to cause explosions with intent to endanger life or property, as well as possession of explosive substances at her home. Investigators say she used improvised incendiary devices containing thermite.
The Eastern Regional Special Operations Unit, which includes organised crime and anti-terror experts, is leading the investigation. Goddard remains in custody and is next due to appear at the Old Bailey in London in February.
Authorities have not indicated a motive, but the charges carry serious potential penalties given the risk to life and property posed by the alleged devices.
