Helicopter Involved in Flying Lesson
British media reported that the helicopter belonged to Northumbria Helicopter, the operator of the aircraft, which confirmed that one of its G OCLV models was involved in the accident.
Police said the helicopter went down in a field near Ventnor, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
Air Ambulance Dispatched
A critical care team, including a doctor and specialist paramedic, was sent to the scene by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. One seriously injured person was airlifted to hospital for urgent treatment, according to an air ambulance spokesperson.
