Congham Hall, near King’s Lynn, won the César award for Best Hotel in East Anglia. The Georgian manor, set amid woodland, lawns, and orchards, houses both a hotel and spa, with its restaurant using ingredients grown on-site.
Meanwhile, The White Horse in Brancaster Staithe was named one of the best hotels for walkers in the Editor’s Choice Awards.
The awards were presented by Alex Polizzi, hotelier and television personality known for Channel 5’s The Hotel Inspector. She praised the resilience of the hospitality sector:
“Running a hotel has never been easy and these are particularly challenging times for the industry. The Good Hotel Guide is a great network for smaller hotels, and it is important for us to focus on how we need to adapt so that we can support each other effectively.”
The César Awards highlight excellence in hospitality, service, and unique guest experiences, providing national recognition for hotels that combine quality accommodation with outstanding food and local character.
