Three people have died and one person has been seriously injured after a helicopter crashed into a field near Ventnor, a seaside resort town on Britain’s Isle of Wight, on Monday, police confirmed.

The incident occurred during a flying lesson, according to reports. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said they could not release further details about the identities of those involved and declined to comment on the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Helicopter Involved in Flying Lesson

British media reported that the helicopter belonged to Northumbria Helicopter, the operator of the aircraft, which confirmed that one of its G OCLV models was involved in the accident.
